I have always been passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. Thirteen years ago, my passion was ignited when I became an occupational therapist.

 

My interest grew as I worked as a massage therapist as well. I eventually opened my own massage therapy studios and found that I could not only help our clients, but also help my therapists by giving them a comfortable workplace and room for growth.

 

So when I came across the opportunity to be involved in helping other people in a much larger way, I knew it was the perfect way to continue my passion.

 

I joined with Fitness Together Franchise Corporation to create elements therapeutic massage. I look forward to supporting each owner in making their elements studio successful: for the entrepreneur, the therapists and the clients.

With a background in professional sports, I have always been interested in the health and wellness industry. I played four years of baseball at Arizona State University and ten years of professional baseball. Once I left the game I knew I wanted to explore opportunities in the wellness industry, while also pursing business ownership. ETM offered the perfect marriage between the two.

 

Corporate support was a very important facet of my decision-making process. Being that it is a new brand, I have the utmost confidence in the experience and knowledge of everyone associated with the model, especially knowing that Fitness Together's momentum is behind the effort.

 

Prior to becoming a Master Franchise owner, I acquired my real estate license and completed several successful ventures, buying and fixing up high-end properties in Scottsdale, Arizona. While this experience satiated by entrepreneurial spirit, it failed to address my interest in health and wellness. Although this industry is new to me, as a business owner, I have first-hand knowledge of the power of massage therapy in elite athletics.

 

Honestly, I have been excited about this model from the start, especially considering the tremendous potential for growth in the massage industry. Any fears I may have harbored have been eased by the competence, dedication and passion demonstrated by the ETM.

 

Signing on as a Master Franchise owner also gave me the opportunity to move my family to Colorado, an idea we have been exploring for several years now. Over the next few years, I am eager to help introduce our new model to the industry, and to help propel ETM to the pinnacle of massage therapy studios, not just in Colorado, but throughout the country.

 

While we are still in the infancy stages, I am confident that the model will be well-received by the communities in which we are located. For those communities that will not have an ETM right away, I expect great demand to fuel growth into those areas. Combined with the passion of everyone involved in this effort, as well as the genuine need for our services, ETM should be a powerful force on the massage therapy front for years to come.

After retiring from a 14-year career in the yellow pages advertising field, I knew that I wanted to make a change into another industry that was truly unique. I also knew that I didn't want to experience some of the same "start-up" issues I faced in the past and felt that a franchise was the best way to eliminate those concerns.

 

I looked into several other franchises, from a propane tank delivery service to Curves, but none of them left me with a good feeling! Finally in 2005, I came across Fitness Together (FT) and became very excited about getting involved in the booming wellness industry.

 

My partner & I immediately purchased several FT franchises and they have now become some of the top FT personal training studios in the world. As I was familiarizing myself with the FT Franchise Corporation, I knew that I wanted to be more than just a franchisee. I was then informed by the FT CEO about another new wellness franchise they would be rolling out in late 2006 called elements therapeutic massage. I then did my own research on the industry and fell in love with the concept and model.

 

This was exactly what I was looking for...a chance to become an Area Director of a unique, booming and good-feeling franchise! Like with FT, where we filled the void of exclusively offering personal training, I believe that elements is now filling another void where we are exclusively offering massage services in a professional, affordable, convenient and retail format.In January 2007, I opened the first elements franchise in Massachusetts.

 

The results of my first studio, along with the immediate interest of others in purchasing elements franchises, has made this one of the best business decisions of my career!
